The project involved strategic and managerial analysis as well as the development of a restyling concept for the reopening of the historic thermal baths in the Emilia-Romagna region.
Awarded a place among The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, Brisighella is nestled among the scenic hills and is home to a thermal spa set within a beautiful park, just a short distance from the town’s historic centre.
The thermal waters of Brisighella, known for their distinctive chemical and physical composition, originate from two separate springs: the Igea Val D’Amone source, which produces salt-bromine-iodine waters, and the Colombarino spring, which offers sulphurous waters.
Thermal waters are used today to treat various ailments (of the ear, nose, larynx, and pharynx) and conditions (related to bones, joints, and dermatology), through inhalation therapies, immersion in heated thermal pools, mud-based treatments, drainage massages, and hydrating dermal therapies.
Following the closure of the spa complex, Terme di Brisighella commissioned strategic consultancy services from Escape Design, part of the Apostoli Group. The work focused on an in-depth analysis of the reference market and the facility’s positioning – crucial steps in the development of the business plan. This operational forecasting document enabled an assessment of the economic sustainability of the renovation project, for which the studio also created a complete restyling concept aimed at bringing the historic Brisighella thermal baths back into operation.
