TECHNICAL FEATURES AND SERVICES
The entrance consists of a curved space enhanced by a wall of local stone, in which openings of different sizes filter the view toward the pool area. This area leads to a distributive space from which one can head indifferently to the pool area, the SPA area, the beauty area, or to the relaxation and tea room. The area acts as a distributive hinge and is filtered by partially buried pools in which natural vegetation creates a break with the built-up area.
The semicircular salt infinity pool is lined with the same material as the center’s flooring and visually lays outside. Its shape is emphasized by shaped lamps in a burnished finish. The adjacent relaxation area is partially bordered by teak seating. Here the space takes on a different atmosphere during the day thanks to the natural light filtering through four large openings to the garden and lake to the west, while at night the pool is internally illuminated in different colors.
In the spa area, a double glazed sauna (biosauna and Finnish sauna) is divided internally by a wall, also made of glass, that emphasizes its total size while, in front of it, there are four experience showers separated by crystal walls and a masonry septum. The saunas are illuminated by under-bench lamps and create a dramatic lighting effect on the interior walls that, in part, is reflected outside. Water from the showers collects in an internal overflow covered with stones and flanks a stone wall lit from above. The steam room is a natural continuation of the stone wall of the showers and is made with a specially waxed surface finish. A longilinear ceramic bench and a central fountain, from which water and steam flow, complete this place.
The lighting design was taken care of with extreme attention and aimed at creating an atmospheric, yet well-structured and strong space, where emphasis was needed on important materials, specially elaborated finishes and an extreme and refined deconstruction of volumes.
