The new Lounge Bar, “Caveau del Fuenti” at Giardini del Fuenti, an exclusive venue on the Amalfi Coast, is the result of Escape Design’s vision, with artistic direction by Alberto Apostoli.
At the end of the 19th century, the promontory between Vietri sul Mare and Cetara—now redeveloped into a luxury hospitality facility—was primarily used for cultivating vines, citrus fruits, and olives. Giardini del Fuenti has preserved its terraced landscape and now hosts, within its expansive park, the Michelin-starred “Volta del Fuenti”, the panoramic “Limoneto Bar”, the “Riva Restaurant” on the beach below, and the “Caveau del Fuenti”, an exclusive 300m² Lounge Bar.
Escape Design designed Caveau del Fuenti to complete the venue’s hospitality offering with a year-round Lounge Bar, also suitable for events and live music.
The interior creates a private, exclusive atmosphere with a focus on black and gold. The walls feature exposed sections of natural rock formations, blending seamlessly with the architecture, while custom black lacquered wood panelling conceals soft, ambient lighting. A striking black pillar extends the space’s structure, supporting the vaulted ceiling, which is adorned with exposed beams wrapped in plexiglass panels featuring golden and luminous motifs. This colour scheme is mirrored in the custom-designed bar counter, which includes backlit agate cladding.
The furniture and essential equipment, such as the custom-designed winery display wall and bioethanol-powered decorative fireplace, were crafted to meet the specific needs of the Lounge Bar and its acoustically isolated spaces.
