TECHNICAL FEATURES AND SERVICES
The project is developed in Parma, in the Vigheffio locality, on an area of 16,700 square metres, with the precise intention of creating a new housing model, integrated and designed to meet today’s residents’ needs in terms of services, technologies and safety.
From a building point of view, the project envisages the construction of single-family villas and a residential building equipped with constructive devices and services aimed at supporting the well-being and autonomy of the person. The building consists of 16 flats of different sizes and characteristics (from 50 to 150 square metres), which benefit from a contribution from the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Proges will manage a social welfare facility for non-self-sufficient persons, with a capacity of about 70 guests, who will also be able to make use of facilities with commercial functions, including a food & beverage area conceived according to the relational logic of the ‘coffice’, i.e. a space in which, in addition to the cafeteria service, there are areas and facilities for meeting, reading and smart working. There is also a beauty centre.
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
The philosophy of the Cittadella del Benessere project stems from the desire to bring both physical and mental wellbeing to people of different age groups and to meet the needs of body, soul and mind through areas for individual meditation and sensory exploration, horticulture, outdoor cooking, and equipped running and Nordic walking trails. For this reason, the project will play strongly on 4 fundamental elements:
1) Sense of Control, determination of one’s actions and sense of intimacy;
2) Social Support, emotional or physical help given by contact with others;
3) Physical Movement, reduction of psychophysical stress;
4) Positive Distractions, reduction of aggressive and depressive attitudes;
